Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, who is an actress, director, producer, playwright, teacher, and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain as does her mother, who is an "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and observing her mother at working. Early on, Anna appeared on several commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting. The decade which followed, she relocated into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They got engaged in 2009, after they got married. The couple was married with a civil ceremony on was held in December, and then renew their vows during an Jewish celebration in Fredericton in April 2011, after Anna's conversion to Judaism.
