Abigale Le Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Miller (born on 21 September 1965) is an American choreographer who also
teaches dance and is a reality TV personality. She is the founder of the Abby
Lee Dance Company, that was featured on the reality television series Dance
Moms for eight seasons. Miller confessed on June 27, 2016 to the charge of
felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced to one year and one day in
federal prison and released on the 27th of March the 27th of March, 2018. In
April of 2018, she was diagnosed with lymphoma which is a type of cancer that
renders it impossible to walk. To move around she uses wheelchair. Miller was
raised in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. She was a dancer and was a student under
her mother at Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. In the year 1980, aged 14, Miller
was given the task of in choreographing and coaching one of her mother's dance
competition teams. Miller eventually assumed control of the studioand changed
its name to Reign Dance Productions. Miller was recognized as a certified
dancer by Dance Masters of America in 1986, and became a member of Dance
Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. However her membership was
terminated by the DMA in February 2012 after the DMA stated that Miller's
reality-TV show Dance Moms was "a complete misrepresentation of teachers
and students of dance and is detrimental for the dance profession."
